The inspiration for my fashion taste first came from the aesthetics of the bands I liked: a lot of them were from the 60s-70s, so they had a colorful hippie vibe which I tried to copy. Later on, I took the colorful, carefree style it had and mixed it with my own need for comfort. I take a more maximalist approach to my clothing, whether that’s wearing patterns or wearing quirky earrings. I mostly visit ukay-ukays for my clothing, and that’s when I realized I don’t have to copy aesthetics online but find unique pieces that express my love for nostalgia and all things colorful.
